The Alianza tournament has become one of the most important tournaments in Houston (Texas) and it is played in its entirety at the best soccer complex in town. This year we are expecting over 170 teams. Last year we closed registration one month before the tournament, so don't wait too long to register.

Tue. May 20, 2014: Rules for both youth and men are now available. The professional tryouts are in Sunday, not on Saturday.

Wed. May 14, 2014: Check-in location and hours are ready, forms will be ready Saturday night (you will get an email).
Tue. May 13, 2014: Check-in instructons will be ready by the end of the day.
Sun. May 11, 2014: All schedules are now ready.
Sun. May 11, 2014: The U09 to U12 schedules are ready (scroll down), the U13-19 schedules along with the check-in instruction will be ready by the end of today.
Wed, May 7, 2014: The U07 and U08 schedules are ready (scroll down).
Wed. May 7, 2014: All Schedules and check-in instructions will be ready by this Saturday. May 10.

Friday, May 23. ------ Time: 7:00 pm to 10:30 pm.

Note2: the Friday check-in is mandatory for all Houston area team and all the teams playing Saturday. For these teams, failure to complete the check-in will result in a $60 fine. An out of town team may register the team one hour before its first game.

Youth Check-In:

** What to bring: Coach will fill-in page 1 and page 2. Coach will also fill-in page 3 and each parent will sign this form (if parent is not available then coach may sign). This page 3 will be the official roster.

** The coach will also bring a copy of the birth certificate (we will not keep it) and a STYSA or US Soccer player ID card. In case this is not available then an official ID card with a picture will be required. It is strongly suggested that if a player looks "big" or that the player is "very good" to bring the original birth certificate.

** Blank sticker roster forms will be given to the coaches at check-in. Please fill them in and give them to the referee "before" the games starts. Due the high number of teams participating in the tournament and therefore the high number of fields, half-time will only last 2 minutes in all Saturday and Sunday games.

Format (youth and women divisions): All teams will play at least three games during the tournament. The top teams will advance to the single elimination second round. The tournament in all these age group will last two days.
Format Under 08 and Under 07 (6v6): All teams will play at least three games during the tournament. The tournament in these age groups will only last one day (Sunday).

Format (Men's Division): There will be 24 teams; 8 groups of 3 teams each will be made. Each team will play two games against the the teams in its group. The top team from each group will advance to the single elimination Q-Finals. The first round games will be Saturday, the Q-Finals on Sunday and the semi-finals and finals on Monday.
SueƱo Professional Tryouts: To be held on Sunday, May 25 at 10:00 AM (sign ups start at 8 AM) at the Houston Sports Park. This event is open to all players born in the years 1994 to 2001. For more information and to register, click here.

Awards Men: $4,000 for champions, $1,000 for the 2nd place. Additionally, the top 8 teams will receive team uniforms. Also, winning team will receive the Alianza CUP.

Point System: 3 points for a win, 1 for a tie and 0 for a lost. Tie breakers: Most Points, best goal differential, more goals scored and coin flip.

Girls rule for youth divisions: this is a tournament for boys, however girls are eligible to play in any team. Additionally, girls can play one year up. For example, an U11 girl player may in an U10 team.

Proof of Age (Youth Teams): Coaches must have a folder at all times with all the players' copy of birth certificate and a copy of an ID with the player's picture and name on it.

Proof of Identity (women and men): All players must bring a copy and the original official ID such as driver licence, passport, consulate ID, etc.
Deadline to Register a Team: Monday, May 5th or until the age bracket is full.

Schedules Ready: Monday, May 19, 2014

Awards Youth and Women: All players in the 1st and 2nd place team will receive medals and team uniforms. Also, the winning team will receive the Alianza CUP.

Referee Fees: None, already included in the tournament fee.
